Last Friday after getting off the computer during the night I turned off and it was perfectly fine, the next day I get up turn it on and the processor/processor fan wasnt turning on but everything else is just leaving me a black screen. So after swapping the memory sticks I tried turning it back on and it worked, BUT when it turned on it would reach the "Loading Operating System.." screen and then completely turn off.. after a few seconds it would turn back on by itself and work like it was any other day it would do this everytime I restart/started up my computer. After a few days I realized I felt like my computer was pretty choppy playing video games. I checked my computer properties and saw I was only using 4gb out of 8. Later that night I tried swapping the memory cards again.. then receiving the same problem I had on friday.. I then tried swapping them back to what where they were.. still nothing. I tried using the old memory sticks I used before a few months ago.. still had the same problem, I tried another hard drive, still the same problem.. So now I'm stumped, I figure it's either the CPU, PSU, or motherboard.. I really need help, I dont know what to do or what the problem is.

I'm not exactly sure of the specific models but my specs are:

Motherboard: Gigabyte P55-USB3
Processor: I-750
PSU: Corsair 650watt
Memory: 2x 8GB GSKill
Video Card: nVidia MSI 550gtx-ti
Hard Drive: Not completely sure what it is, I know it's a Western Digital..

I hope you guys can help me 🙁

You get a black screen with the monitor on standby.... and still everything else works??
Wow.... that's one rig I'd love to see, jokes apart.
If you were using a 32Bit OS and never checked the RAM before then it's understandable due to 32Bit limitations not seeing the other 4GB out of 8GB there.
BUT
If you were using a 64Bit OS and saw 8GB being usable earlier then it's a RAM mess up.
Now when you startup the rig, make sure you start it up in safe mode and not go to the OS directly.
If that also gets stuck
Then you need to Startup to the last known good configuration using the same F8 option that got you into Safe Mode.
From then on let us know what happened.

Try the sticks individually to find the bad or dead stick of RAM. It's no use having faulty stuff plugged into the mobo, so remove the bad one.

PS: Just on a short note, see, double check if the connectors for power to the mobo are all in place, plus , check and see if the processor fan actually works.

well, I get a black screen, my keyboard our mouse won't turn on, but fans are spinning inside the computer EXCEPT the processor one.. im on 64 bit and I also tried a different set of memory still nothing.. :/

A lot of motherboards will not boot if the CPU fan is not working. Did you use the fan utility in the bios and set the temp so the fan does not start until it reaches a higher temp?
For a quick test plug one of the case fans into the CPU fan header. If it spins and boots the cpu fan is bad and shut it down right away. We do not want to overheat the processor.
If not the fan header is bad.

I did this but I used a spare stock fan, and the fan was working so I think the cpu fan is bad.
