Question Notebook not starting/overheating

Recently i found an old laptop from 2007 and i want to use it as a secondary screen for my PC desktop. It is a fujitsu siemens amilo xa1526

When starting the laptop up, it booted, but then turned itself off. Figured it might be an overheating issue so i disassembled it and i found that the GPU heatsink slided off the GPU chip. I cleaned it, put it back on properly, assembled the notebook again.

Now it wont start at all. I connected all the cables, the AC adapter is fine, it has power. Even the notebook has power when connected to the AC adapter, but it just refuses to start. No LEDs are on even when its connected to power, but there is power present in the system, i tested it with a charge tester and i got some power reading.

I have no idea what to do and would really appreciate any help. Thanks
