Novice needs help

have over 140GBs unallocated with 3 other healthy parts. can i use this to help my speed?TOSH. C655-S5300,AMD E300-8GB RAM 320GB HD

sorry im new at this.ive been repairing electronics for over 20 yrs but i know nothing about data storage.any tips,tricks,or advice on setting up my hard drive would be great im trying to learn as much as i can as fast as i can any help would be great this is my first laptop

Set how much gb u want to set as virtualmemory ,search in help virtual memory in ur win 7

Virtual ram =/= real ram, no matter how hard you try, it will still be slow using Vram, even using SSDs in raid formats


Anywhom, if you want you can just right click on any of the drives and allocate space to it by hitting expand.

So pretty much you have a C drive that is 143.9GB.
You need to go into control panel/administrative tools/computer management/Storage/disk management and assign a drive letter to the unallocated space.
