I hate the new Outlook with all my life, overly cluttered, so many buttons I do not need.
I want something simple, I want to read my emails, reply, send, and archive or send to spam the ones I don't need.

Guess what, the old Mail and Calendar app on Windows 10 and 11 satisfied me, I loved it, it was simple, with a clean layout.
Not to mention the beautiful nature backgrounds so perfectly blending in with the dark theme, especially the rain forest one.
You get the point, I felt pretty attached to that app, I loved it with all my life.

When Microsoft announced and started installing the new Outlook on my PC without my permission, guess what I did, I went on a rampage, I made sure the folder in which the outlook app gets installed is always massacred so Microsoft CAN NOT open the new outlook whenever I open my good old trusty mail app.

That kept working until today, today a new notification pops up that doesn't go away, they also handicapped the app by making it not send or receive emails anymore. They INTENTIONALLY RUINED MY BELOVED MAIL APP!

Now, I ask you, good people of toms hardware, what's a simple mail app that will fulfill the role the old native mail app had in my life? I explained why I loved it in my rant above, I'm looking for something simple, no-nonsense, reliable, secure, with all the essential features a mail app must have -- and oh, dark mode with custom rainforest background, I want my rain forest back.

Microsoft, I hate you.

I never used the MS garbage.
Thunderbird since the 90's. Rainlendar isn't pretty but does the job I need.

I gave thunderbird a try and the app is too complicated, I yearn for the simplicity of the native mail app, with privacy of thunderbird, and a rain forest background.
