I heard it was British intelligence that linked WannaCrypt to NK. Vulnerabilities occur on all Operating Systems at some point, barebones Linux and Max OS have open ports and admin issues by default. Remember the privilege-escalation bug in Linux that made you an administrator of the system without even being on the same network?
