Hi..

Does anybody know upto how many logical partitions can be created in an extended partition?

Is there any max number recommended?

Thanks in advance,

There is no limit. You can have four primary partitions or three primary and one extended. Logical drives can only be created in an extended partition, and then you are limited by the number of letters in the alphabet. You can still create as many logical drives as you want, you just won't have any more drive letters available so you would have to start mounting the drives in/as folders.

There is no limit. Only NTFS format. You can have four primary partitions or three primary and one extended. You can only creat maximum no of 23 partations (extended) on FAT 32 format
