Question Numerous BSOD throughout my workday

Thanks for taking the time to read and hopefully assist!

I counted I think 5 crashes just within an hour this morning and after that I stopped counting. 3 of those crashes happened without a blue screen - Screens just went black and rebooted. This is on my work build and it's been having BSOD issues for quite some time now. Probably 15+ crashes/8 hour day and it's likely raising my blood pressure, so I decided to hop on here and hope someone can find the answer.

The crashes happen completely randomly. I could be on chrome, in photoshop, in a game, even doing nothing at all not even moving the mouse.

Here is my build:
http://speccy.piriform.com/results/EPTzVQ7mnApaH6yrGb3pTuC
I normally have 2x16GB of RAM but I am currently only using 1x hoping to see an improvement which I've not seen.

Here is what I've tried so far (not in chronological order):
Reinstalled Windows
Made sure all Windows Updates are installed
Installed latest BIOS
Installed latest chipset from manufacture site
Physically went through every item on Device Manager and hit "Update Driver/Search Automatically"
Reseated everything
Installed new PSU (Microsoft Forums guy suggested this)
Tried a different GPU
Tried both sticks of RAM, tried only 1, swapped them around, tried different slots with both and only 1
Ran Windows Memory Diagnostics (found nothing)
Ran the sfc /scannow command as admin
Ran check disk
Ran DDU for GPU drivers and installed latest
Disabled Bluetooth drivers (to see if it was the culprit)
Disabled Audio drivers incase they were conflicting
Uninstalled Logitech software
I didn't have Malware Bytes until recently and don't use anything other than Windows Defender, so it's not an Antivirus
... I want to say I've done more but I can't think of what they were, it's been so long since I've been trying to figure this out now.

If anyone would like to try their hand at this, I'd be infinitely appreciative. Just let me know how I can assist and I'd be more than happy to do so. Thanks.

** Update before I even post this - As I'm currently looking at the Device Manager after I typed all this, it's got the yellow flag on the Processor and those were never present until now.

I assumed log files would be needed to see the various bsod codes, but it seems like different sites/users have their preferred method and I've never done it before, so I was hoping to seek some guidance on that if it's necessary.

The processor throwing the yellow ! in device manager now is concerning, although I was frequenting bsods before that happened.

I just went back to the mobo manufacture site and redownloaded/reinstalled chipset drivers again to see if that would remove the device manager issue and it has not.

New bios......f33c.
Can you test the machine without the seagate connected?

Can you test the machine without the seagate connected?

I didn't have time today to test it, since that drive contains a lot of the stuff I need for my day-to-day and battling the crashes only makes each work task take all the longer to finish, prolonging me to be able to test it. I'll try to tomorrow.

In the meantime, I feel like this is a definite issue? I mentioned it above. Not quite sure what to make of it.

That shows 6 cores and 12 threads...........looks ok.

I suppose you could uninstall the cpu driver and reboot......let windows reload it.

I uninstalled it for each one and after rebooting, they're still flagged.

I also finally was able to disconnect the Seagate and it's still crashing. 3x in about 10 minutes. Each time it threw IRQL Not Less or Equal.

Can you follow option one on the following link - here - and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD - that creates a file in c windows/minidump after the next BSOD

Open Windows File Explorer
Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump
Copy the mini-dump files out onto your Desktop
Do not use Winzip, use the built in facility in Windows
Select those files on your Desktop, right click them and choose 'Send to' - Compressed (zipped) folder
Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox . . . etc.)
Then post a link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you . . .

Do you have latest chipset drivers?
https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/x570
i have that mb, i can tell you its not normal to have warnings against every processor.

device manager not great at updating, Best idea is to use the website - https://www.gigabyte.com/au/Motherboard/X570-AORUS-ELITE-WIFI-rev-1x/support#support-dl-driver
and compare driver version numbers using Driver view to compare against what you have
download and run Driverview - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/driverview.html

All it does is looks at drivers installed; it won't install any (this is intentional as 3rd party driver updaters get it wrong).

When you run it, go into view tab and set it to hide all Microsoft drivers, will make list shorter.

Minidump link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nRKpDolYn97dtLok2Me0OPh5-iLhm_h-/view?usp=sharing

I made sure to download the latest chipset drivers from the link you provided, although I'm fairly certain I had done that recently. The processors are still flagged in device manager after doing that.

I went through the gigabyte mobo drivers list and made sure to redownload all of the ones currently on the site, which I've also done very recently before reaching out to you guys on here, and also updated to the most recent bios. I'm not certain how to compare the drivers on the gigabyte site to the driverview app since the names don't really match up to anything, so I'm including a screenshot of what mine looks like with your instructions (and also why I just made sure to download every driver from gigabyte mobo site).

No problem. I ran the dump files through the debugger and got the following information: https://jsfiddle.net/n53t1xvd/show This link is for anyone wanting to help. You do not have to view it. It is safe to "run the fiddle" as the page asks.

this error - Feb 26 2021 - 10:40:17 - was caused by GPU drivers.
it doesn't mention them directly but it might as well have
dxgmms2!VidSchiInterlockedRemoveHeadListIfExist+0x7a
dxgmms2.sys = directX
I could also guess VID Sched = Video Scheduler
also fact dwm.exe was the victim told me it was likely gpu before I looked at the text.
dwm.exe = Windows Desktop Manager. It sits between applications and the GPU.

try running ddu in safe mode, uninstall the Nvidia drivers and reinstall them - https://forums.tomshardware.com/faq...n-install-of-your-video-card-drivers.2402269/

glad one was obvious as rest aren't so clear. they could all be GPU drivers.

Thank you Colif. I did run DDU recently but not in safe mode. Ran it twice as the program recommended when not in safe mode. I'll try it Monday and let you know if it happens again.

Also, thank you gardenman for your assistance!

Run another speccy post a link.

New speccy link ran this morning with Seagate disconnected and still only 1 stick of RAM inserted http://speccy.piriform.com/results/roMnUiYgWdp52Wb0wqh1fio

Ran DDU in safe mode without networking, installed latest GPU drivers from nvidia and still crashing.
Here's a new dump all from this morning after doing the above.

Also, every processor is still flagged in device manager as well.

Just guessing.
Take the side panel off the case and test.

The non-glass side panel has been off since last week when I initially unplugged the Seagate. I've kept it off so I could easily plug/unplug that hard drive if I needed to use it until we figured out if it was the/an issue.
