Hello all,
I currently have an Asus Maximus V Formula motherboard, which has a Nuvoton NCT6779D chip that reads temperatures.
I'm using Open Hardware Monitor to keep track of my temperatures.
I'm trying to configure my fans to go full speed when my CPU reaches a certain temperature, however the Nuvoton NCT6779D has its own CPU temperature which shows a different temperature than the Intel Core i7-2600.
Generally speaking, the CPU temperature reading on the Nuvoton is way lower than the Temperature reading on the Intel.
I'm not sure what to make out of this, what's my real CPU temperature?
During a 5 minute stress test, those are my readings:
Nuvoton Reading:
CPU Core: 46.5C - Max 46.5C
Temperature 1: 44.5C - Max 44.5C (I don't know what this is)
Temperature 2: 29C - Max 29C (I don't know what this is)
Intel Reading:
CPU Core 1: 59C - Max 60
CPU Core 2: 66C - Max 67
CPU Core 3: 66C - Max 66
CPU Core 4: 62C - Max 62
CPU Package: 66C - Max 67
An Explanation would be really appreciated
