Question Nvidea RTX for Dell XPS 8900

My PC is a 2016 Dell XPS 8900, item 210-AFDM. It has an i7-6700 processor, 8GB of DDR4 2133MHz memory. I have upgraded to a GTX 1060 3GB card which runs well with a Dell S2427DG monitor.

I’d like to upgrade to an Nvidea RTX card, pref a 2070 or 2080. I realize that I would need to upgrade the PSU to about 750W. I’m willing to add fans and such, but probably not cut into the case.

I’m willing to spend up to $1,000 to get this done, but less is better

Hope next year is to buy a gaming case and motherboard, CPU and memory, move the RTX and PSU.

Advice greatly appreciated.

Hey there mark.

Idk if this is helpful, but I have a prebuilt with the rtx 2070 and i7-8700. I have a 600w power supply powering all that so idk if you need 750w

Thanks! Mind sharing what card they used? I’m wondering if I need a short card (abt 8”) or if a full sized 10-11” card will fit.
