If it has HBM memory It might just be awesome! I mean Amd's 390x is rumored to have both HBM memory and a die shrink, which would easily surpass performance of green team if they stick with gddr5.

Will be like $1000... But 4k performance should be through the roof. And a 980 ti will come out 6 months later for $600 with 2% more performance and then we'll be happy!

With the recent price drop in the 295x2, this thing better be A) powerful as all hell B)power-friendly and C)Priced UNDER $1,000!

It will have GDDR5. AMD sponsored SK Hynix' development of HBM, so they will get first dibs on it for their 390X. Nvidia was betting on HMC instead, but SK Hynix appears to have won the race for stacked DRAM; Nvidia now plans to use HBM as well, but not until their Pascal architecture arrives.

That's probably wishful thinking. I think the best we can hope for (and really what would make the most sense) is a replacement at the same $1000 price point. But somehow I have a bad feeling it's going to be more than that.

Liked demo & it's actually part of the promo Unreal going totally open source & free for non commercial use that's why it's called "Set it free".

That and it's already known that Nvidia will be sticking with GDDR5 for Maxwell.

And HBM is currently limited to 4GB only on the rumored 4096-bit interface on the 390X. Of course there are other ways to achieve greater capacities, but it'll cost you.

I tweeted to Mr. Jen-Hsun Huang offering him $300 US dollars for one of these new Titans, but for some reason he hasn't responded back. Phone battery must be dead, or he may have it simply turned off. I'll updated you guys when I hear back! :p

for people who are taking about HBM. Memory bandwidth isn't that important. The GTX 980 beats R9 290X at 4K though the R9 290X has more bandwidth. and you should know that with 384-bit memory bus interface and 12 GB, the Titan X bandwidth should hit the roof and maybe more tham 4 GB HBM ( memory bandwidth increases with the increase of both of memory capacity and memory bus interface. GTX 970 has 3.5 GB with a 196 GB/s bandwidth and 0.5 GB with a 28 GB/s bandwidth of despite the two parts has a 384-bit memory bus interface and notice that it should a 4 GB with a 228 GB/s bandwidth),but a 12 GB GDDR5 memory will increase power consumption.

HBM doesn't just increase bandwidth significantly, it also increases speed in a huge way. (Same kind of thing as comparing gddr3 to gddr5) All while using less power

What a f... breakthrough in technology... I'm so amazed... Corpos are just dumb greedy organizations announcing nothing in a truly sophisticated way. Think about apple promoting services, hard life, nothing more...

It is for AMD.

Scaling bandwidth has very little to do with scaling capacity. The 12GB of 384-bit GDDR5 on the Titan X will not achieve nearly the same theoretical bandwidth as the rumored 4GB of 4096-bit HBM on the 390X, but like you said from a real world performance perspective that probably won't matter.

Not sure what you said here.
