I recently upgraded geforce experience to version 3.9.1.61 and updated to the latest drivers 385.41 and noticed I don't have the NVIDIA control panel anymore, I can't search for it and geforce experience no longer appears in my taskbar. I used to open the control panel by right-clicking Geforce Experience in the taskbar and going to the control panel tab but the NVIDIA control panel has completely disappeared from my PC. I've tried going back to older versions of the drivers and geforce experience and it isn't fixing the issue.

when installing the new Gforce experience 3.9.0. it states in the release highlights they removed it to reduced nvidia footprint in there software . it will be missed i loved that tray icon, loved having it there .You can find this your self, by opening Gforce and go to settings and click highlights, i hope they bring this back.
This has happened to me before after a GFE and driver update. I have never been able to find and answer as to why. I just had to reinstall GFE like I never had it installed. It was aggravating as I had to go change my custom game settings in both the Nvidia control panel and GFE utility all over again.

Same here but the only thing I don't have it's Geforce Experience trayicon in taskbar after update but NVIDIA Control Panel is working fine, also there's another issue with recently updates, in some games like LawBreakers or PUBG.. ShadowPlay will just enable itself for no reason.. I'm not sure if it's a new functionality but its annoying.

Try DDU utility if you didn't instead of using the common Windows uninstaller tool. Then download Geforce Experience again and install drivers through there.

I always use DDU when installing new drivers and this isn't helping the issue. I've tried multiple different drivers and rolled back geforce experience and I can't seem to get NVIDIA control panel back.
