My laptop's GTX 1080 was recently disabled and without noticing I was using the onboard Intel HD Graphics chip for 1-2 weeks. I restored the GTX 1080 and web pages, especially ones with a lot of images are loading noticeably slower. I am not a gamer. I have an internet business where even if a setting would only render/load a web page 1 ms faster then I would want to change it to this setting. Are there any settings in the Nvidia Control Panel that might help in rendering/loading web pages faster?

I do understand that to load web pages faster, the most important things are the ISP and CPU, but it definitely seems like the GTX 1080 is causing them to load slower.

Also, if you have any other suggestions for loading a webpage faster, even if minimal, I would appreciate it. I believe I remember reading that enabling/disabling certain chrome flags can increase the time it takes a web page to load.

why did it get disabled in the first place?

did you update the drivers?

i would use ddu to remove all traces of your driver and install the video drivers again.
