Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti Review: GF114 Rises, GF100 Rides Off

Nice card, Not any ground breaking achievements, but a good way to show cleaning up your design a bit can yield great results.

I was a long time ATI fan, but Nvidia has done right by me. I would just be happer if they would open source their coding so Linux could run it a bit smoother. Were doing alright though : )

As for gamesmachine's comment. It would be nice, but I doubt we will ever see it. Too focused on making it faster and not slimmer right now. Or even better make this gpu fully integrated into a MOBO with indepent resources dedicated to only it. Why isn't that project for someone?

I'm working on adding second gtx275, but i wont have room to work when i'm done. large bulky 2 slot cards take up soo much space makes it hard to work.

Don't kid yourself. The 6950's are cheaper than the GTX 560 Ti's, but the sapphires and xfx versions are riddled with driver issues, over-heating problems, and quality control issues. Even the 6850's and 6870's got mediocre reviews on newegg. I'd wait until the 560 ti's go down in price a bit; then, buy an EVGA, gigabyte, or MSI version.

If you're curious, I just sold my EVGA GTX 570 and bought the Gigabyte GTX 560 TI overclock series from newegg for 269.99. It gets just about the same performance as the GTX 570 does with a bundle of advantages. It runs cooler, it's much quieter (believe me, the 570 was loud under full loud), and uses less wattage. I'd go for the Gigabyte 560 TI in a heartbeat. Just be sure to buy it before it goes up in price.

At current prices get the Radeon HD 5770, or the GTX 460/Radeon HD 6850 if you can afford them. The 550 ti is overpriced at the moment.

what kind of settings did you guys use for the 560's ? i am using 4 580's wih a 990x and seeing nowhere near those FPS.

6870 is on par with 560ti and 6950 is on par with GTX570 so if the GTX 570 were to perform like a GTX 580 and the GTX 560 were to perform like a GTX 570 than that is when Nvidia would have been the only choice but instead is just makes Nvidia this time around overpriced with the only real option being the GTX 580 but then again that card is at leased $100 overpriced so AMD FTW for now.Further more the old then ATi Radeon HD 5870 is on par with the GTX 570 so what is Nvidia trying to prove that they are on par with Radeons 58XX series over a year and 1 hald later LOL pathetic.

What are you basing your information on? The GTX 560Ti is just a hair below the 6950 and the GTX 570 is on par with the 6970 (maybe a hair ahead). I could list a ton of benchmarks to back up what I'm saying, but you clearly have no interest in benchmarks.

well two gtx560 ti in sli mild overclocked fits my needs and gaming so i am good i feel sorry for you other ladies and gents that feel you actually need two gtx590 that's over kill imo and highly over priced but if you got it like that and have the money to burn more power to you anyway great review Tom keep up the good work bud.
