They both use the same unified driver but they are different architectures so it's little wonder that the performance differs between them. On a compute front though the later drivers result in a higher PPD than the older drivers manage on Kepler.

according to comments that doesnt seem promising, i wonder if i should wait for pascal and if my 570gtx sli can hold up until then.. can run the witcher 3 pretty smoothly on 1080p evne though i have 1440p monitor :\

Then you should wait? Even as a cut down GM200 will be faster. Heck it might as well going only to have '5.5.GB' VRAM

I see many people talk about nvidia purposely gimping kepler as well. Conspiracy theory aside Maxwell just probably 'fixing' what's lacking in kepler. But to me in terms of DP Kepler seems better than GCN even when Hawaii DP was rated at 1/2 of Hawaii SP.

980thai might be slightly than some other users have posted

GTX TITAN X: USD 999 (RM 3,655)
GTX 980 Ti: USD 649 (RM 2,375)
GTX 980: USD 499 (RM 1,826)
GTX 970: USD 329 (RM 1,204)
GTX 960: USD 199 (RM 728)

Almost makes me want to upgrade my 780 ti - almost. But not quite. I want one of those "OMG!" moments when I upgrade, and I don't think this will be it. But people on a 680 will definitely have a major computer upgrade with the 980 ti.

I saw from upgrading my Nvidia drivers just now that the 980 ti will come out tomorrow - June 1. Does that seem right? Don't know why they would say that in their driver update if it wasn't true.

Looks like Forbes also thinks it's tomorrow

Two EVGA SuperClocked versions already on NewEgg (Blower and ACX), and a closed loop on EVGA's website. At least the blower cooler of the SC is cheaper this time around, unlike last time.

Any ideas when EVGA's 980 Ti Classified might be released? It was announced in the lineup, but it's still under "coming soon" on the site. Haven't had much luck finding the time difference between classified/non-classified releases for previous cards.

Cheers

Here is a link to all of the EVGA 980 ti variants of the card. Check back periodically for it to include the Classified.

Also, consider the Hybrid version of the 980 ti. It's got the best cooler and the best overclock out of the box, while being cheaper than the Classified editions usually are. Not as pretty, but that's a tradeoff. I've added a picture of the Hybrid to my previous post above, and you can click it for a link to the product page, which allows you to purchase directly from EVGA.

Thanks for the information. I happen to have one open fan slot in my 500R where the hybrid fan would fit. Think I will consider it over the Classified.

DrakeConnar: Thanks for the reply. Apologies for my ignorance; I registered my PSU on EVGA, but otherwise I've never really checked the website and didn't notice that they have forums.

Cheers
