I currently have a GTX 660, non-TI.
I am regretting it, VS GTX 660 TI.

I have an AMD based mobo that doesn't support SLI.
What is the best route to go from here?
Do I get a GTX 670 or a 7970?

Current specs:
AsRock 970 EXTREME 3
AMD FX-8320 @ 4GHZ
8GB @ 1600mhz
Galaxy GTX 660 (non-TI)
120GB SSD
1TB HDD

I have two monitors.
One for gaming, the other for skype/teamspeak/notepad++.

My gaming monitor is 1080P, my other is at 16:10 (1440x900)

I was going to get two more monitors (and get rid of the smaller -reading- monitor).
But then.. I realized I needed more GPU power for my games.
My FPS is good, not great.

I want a card that is AMAZING!
I'm in between the GTX 670 and the Radeon 7970.
I'm in for a price range of 400~450 dollars (I don't do rebates)

Maybe later on I'll crossfire, or if I go nVidia I'll SLI (with a new mobo).

Please help me choose, and show me dem benchmarks.

At this point, I would say wait another two or three months and see what comes out with the new generation of cards. If you absolutely must buy right now, the 7970 does tend to fare better at higher resolutions and multi-monitor gaming than the 670. The extra VRAM on the 7970 may also help if you want to game across 3 1080p displays.

Since you are wanting to go for a multiple monitor setup, I'd have to go with the 7970 hands down. The 7970 will scale much better when it comes to high resolution gaming when compared to the 670.

New generation is so far far awayz. I'm in between two extra monitors and the 7970. Besides, if I get a 7970 now, and needed more power I could just get another 7970 for cheaper than a new powerful card.
I just need the power to play games on my single monitor, and this non-TI gtx 660 just didn't cut it for me.
I'm pretty sure all I need is a 7970, plus that will last me a while specially if I Crossfire it later down the road.
