Hello to all the tech gurus here 😀
I would like to get into sim racing just like my nephew - however, I'm baffled regarding the recent Nvidia launch and whether I need a PSU upgrade or not.
My system specs:
i7-9700k
z390 Aorus Ultra
64gb Corsair 3200MHz
2 X SX8200 Pro 2tb
1 X Ironwolf Pro 14TB
1 X Asus Essence STX II
1 X PCIe (DVB-S tuner)
1 X USB TV tuner
8 X 15 LEDs
6 X 140mm Fans
Palit 1050 TI silent
Philips 43" 4k 60Hz
Seasonic 650W Titanium
From what I've gathered so far, 3080 is the best buy for 4k gaming, but I'm not certain my PSU can manage. I've used a calculator (https://seasonic.com/wattage-calculator) and it seems, I'm barely making it with the 650w PSU. 🙁
Alternatively, I suppose I could get a 3070 and my PSU with be comfortable with it. But is the 3070 GPU up for 4k gaming? I dunno. 😕
Really need your thoughts on this, peeps.
Cheers
