It does perform better than the stock 7900 GTs... the card in the comparison was a factory overclocked 7900 GT.

It's safe to assume then the 7950 GT hit's the streets, there will be factory overclocked versions as well...

Believe it or not, for some people, the 7900GTO and 1900xt using two slots and more power does matter.

how anyone can prefer a single slot solution over a dual slot one is beyond me.

I don't see how you can't understand. Some people like to use their other expansion slots, some people have mAtx boards in mini towers and don't have room for much else. And people who have space issues soemtimes even want to go SLI with wasted two extra slots.

how do i overclock the 7950 GT? i couldnt find that option in my computer,. just a simple response will suffice, like instead of stock drivers use these, or whatever i need to hear, keep it consice ill understand

Have you you tried the Coolbits hack?, I've no idea if it will work but it's where I would start.
