Something like that. It's all about priorities. Since I can't afford the latest and greatest $5M homes in the area I decided to splurge on my GPU.

Yeah, i also like to buy these expensive toys, whenever i can afford them.

Being single also helps, because i don't like having a wife or girlfriend hassling me about how i spend my money. 😎

I just got 7 years out of a 1080 Ti. Something tells me that the 4090 will be relevant for longer than that.
Different priority I would say, I invest more into good camera and lens personally. But TBH, I used to go the same route of getting the TOTL cards, but since forever the new tech support like RT, the 70 and 80 class gets uplifted so much that with myself still using 1440p, opt for the 70ti-80 class GPUs more, save half the cost, upgrade more often and the cost remained the same, just having the ability to max out the eye candy more.
