Nvidia is asking for it. First the CEO says Apple has the best technology and now they are publically making fun of Intel which steamrolls AMD and any other chip maker 100 fold. Is Nvidia just plain stupid, or just the CEO?

After the Apple comments I already swore off Nvidia and I WAS a fanboy I'll admit, I've never bought an ATI card....but guess what? ATI will be my next card.

thanks brising. i havent even looked at new stuff seriously because i spent too much money this last year. the number of titels indicates to me that being behind in DX11 card release isn't a crisis yet. i hear DX11 this, DX11 that but the performance is what impresses me with the 5xxx series, not the short list if titles that are pseudo-DX11/ console exclusives. they managed a monster card that isn't a dual purpose space heater and that impresses me.

this is like negative campaigning, you know, where someone releases ads and stuff that just say negative things about the competition and don't even mention the person who is releasing the ad? you know? like what a generally called political scare campaigns? or most of the latest mac vs PC ads? you know? the types of campaigns most intelligent people hate because it makes you think stuff like:

[citation][nom]MrChilly[/nom]For the time it took to come up with all these negative cartoons, you'd think they could figure out a DirectX 11 card by now...[/citation]

worst yet, this is hypocritical because nvidia has been involved in the same situation before.

so there you go nvidia, thats all I think when I see these cartoons. are you sure they are helping you?

I hate beating a dead horse, but how does this make any sense at all? Nvidia is not at the top of anything, not the chipset market not not the GPU market, and yet they are trying to push this reverse-psychology on us as if we don't understand exactly what is going on. The cartoons are funny, what the cartoons represent is tragic. It's like when a drunken bum (the rude type) tells you off for not giving him any change...I mean just picturing that nvidia actually hired people and organized them to do this tells you that they are a little pathetic. **Give me a reason to buy your product, stop convincing me to abandon your competitor(s)!!!!

nvidia is so much bigger than just video cards! that is only 20% of their product line. they produce over 100,000,000 gpu,s a year! they are used in mri and ultrasound machines, fighter jets and all other military weaponry. ALL automobiles are designed on nvidia workstations!!!!!!!!!! in the medical field there chipsets help save thousands of lives every year!! they will never be bought out by anybody!! stop looking at the small picture and open your eyes!

[citation][nom]roadrunner343[/nom]The one artist it takes to produce these cartoons OBVIOUSLY cripples the entire research and development department, right?[/citation]

No, not unless he/she is the head of the product renaming, repackaging and reselling committee...that would slow them down.

Is it me, or are these just not that funny? I'm not an intel fanboi by any means, and I understand the underlying meanings of the cartoons, they just lack humor to me. Dunno, it's early monday, maybe i'm just not in a humor mood today.

how quick and powerful was AMD/ATi when they released the 2000 and 3000 series cards after the ATi aquisition... the same aquisition AMD is still dealing with.

Fanboys are so forgetful.

I'm blown away by the comments on here. No wonder companies get away with this "under the radar" activity, you're all too blind to see what's happening.

Do you guys not realize that in the last year and a half AMD/ATI nearly bit the bullet as a company? Their stocks have fallen through the floor and the out look is bleak. Did you also not read the news articles last year about "price fixing" cooperation between nVidia and ATI? They need each other and they demonstrated it through that act.

nVidia is a cash cow at the moment and they're giving ATI time to stabilize as a company. AMD is losing ground on the CPU side of business and before the 5k series, they were losing on the GPU market (loss in sales leads to bankruptcy, in case you haven't learned that yet).

[citation][nom]brockh[/nom]And then the world would realize Intel is primarily an x86 CPU company and Nvidia is primarily a cartoon company.[/citation]
LMAO.

Apple
The way nothing is meant to be played :)

How would that work if Apple buys Nvidia? They could put NV chipsets in all of their stuff but would Nvidia still sell consumer graphics cards for PC? If not, then AMD would have a monopoly.

OMG Nvidia, soon they will create a comic book, and lag behind against DC and Marvel too because they don't use colors. Nvdia probably will say colors are uninportant. (Direct x 11)

Great, Nvidia is now a bunch of comedians....Maybe that effort is better spent coming out with a new GPU.

While intel and nvidia are having a pissing contest AMD/ATI is coming out with new product

Hopefully AMD will soon come out with a CPU that can place the i7 in 2nd place

I really didn't find the cartoons THAT funny, to be honest. I'm not sure what game Nvidia is playing. I have been dissapointed in them lately though. I like the cartoon with Intel running over AMD, however, AMD has ATI. And last time I checked the ATI part of AMD is doing VERY well. Not so much luck for Nvidia.
