Hi everyone,

I am having nvlddmkm.sys error and VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (Event ID 116 and 117). I am having these erros both at Idle and on Load (Gaming, OCCT Test, while using Chrome, etc.). Event viewer shows constantly nvlddmkm.sys error after that monitor losts signal, After investigating dump files, I saw VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE both 116 and 117. After lost signal on monitor only solution is restart. But after restart. I get VGA White Led at Motherboard which shows that NO GPU or NO Monitor. I tried with two different monitor but result is the same. After random number of restart try, I can boot the PC. Before the losing the signal in Monitor, screen is flickering, sometimes I get colorful artifacts on the screen. Nearly tried everything in the web (DDU, previos drivers, W11 fresh install, BIOS update, underclock GPU, TDR register value adding etc.) I am getting these errors since Janurary 2023. I sent my PC components to separately services (motherboard, GPU, RAM, PSU) . They told me that everything is okey. I do not know what should I do. I updated everything latest versions (NVIDIA Drivers, Windows, BIOS, Chipset Driver etc.). If anyone has solution for this, I would be greateful. Thanks in advance.

My specs:

GPU: MSI GEFORCE 3080Tİ GAMİNG X TRİO 12G
CPU: Intel i7 13700K
Motherboard: ASUS TUF Z690 PLUS WIFI DDR5
RAM: GSKILL 5600 MHZ
Monitor: ASUS TUF VG27AQZ
PSU: 1050W Gold Certf. Coolear Master MWE
OS: Windows 11 Build 22621

W11 fresh install
Where did you source the installer for the OS? You're advised to install the OS in an offline mode, then manually install all drivers relevant to your platform in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

BIOS update
For the motherboard? If so, did you clear the CMOS after verifying that the BIOS was successfully flashed to the latest version?

Before the losing the signal in Monitor, screen is flickering, sometimes I get colorful artifacts on the screen.
I would look at the connection from your PSU to your GPU and see if they are fully seated and secure. See if you can borrow a higher wattage, reliably built PSU and power your rig with it. Does the GPU sag/droop in your case?

Make and model of your case? Number of fans in said case? Orientation of fans in your case?

Thanks for the reply,

W11 fresh Install : Actually I am installing the W11 by using USB stick method. I have licenced image of the W11. I am connected to internet by using WIFI not Ethernet cable. (While installing W11, I am offline) Because of that while I am installing the Windows, I am not installing any driver or anything else. I transport motherboard WIFI driver from another computer by using USB. Then I install WIFI driver. Then in the end I let the Windows Update do the job. I did not get "Right click installer ->Run as Admin" There is no installer of the Windows, I am using image of the Windows.

BIOS update: Yes for the motherboard, I installed latest BIOS which is 2703 currently. No I did not clear the CMOS. If I get right you mean, after BIOS update should I remove BIOS battery then insert or do the short circuit trick in the motherboard that iss upported? Can you open this one.

Before the losing the signal in Monitor, screen is flickering, sometimes I get colorful artifacts on the screen.:
Actaully, 5 months ago (errors were still there) I suspected about the PSU and I sent the PSU to service and they told me that one of the PCIE cable was melted and they replaced. I looked the cable actually it was true it is replaced. Also I changed and inserted PCIE power cables so many times to GPU and PSU. But no luck.

For the SAG and Drop case, 1 week ago, I decided to use my case horizontally not vertically and (for GPU Sag) and I reinserted my GPU to the motherboard. I had no issue for 3 days, but after that I again enacounterd these issues. I think I solved the Sagging problem sinve my GPU placed vertically and there is no gravity to pull it from PCIE port.

My case is : MSI MPG VELOX 100P AIRFLOW 4x120mm
Number of fans in case (Including water cooling (3)) = 7 fans in total.
4 of the fans flows air to outer and other 3 takes fresh air into case. (If you are asking for the temp, I dont think my GPU isat very high temp. If I force it, sometimes it reachec 80C
