Question Nvme adapter not connecting

And the light shows up but the Nvme isn’t being read I have two other says ports idk if that has to do anything


My Nvme is the crucial t500 1tb pcie 4 ssd

My mother board: asrock b450 steel legend not the pro!

Might I asks what's under your primary M.2 slot located closer to the motherboard? BIOS version for your motherboard? Which slot are you trying to populate with the M.2 adapter? What other devices are populating the rest of your PCIe slots?
