Question NVMe not detected in BIOS?

So I just installed a WD Blue SN550 NVMe (Gen3.0 x 4) however my BIOS will not detect the drive. My motherboard only has one M.2 connector that supports both SATA and PCIe (Gen2.0 x 2). It is an ASUS X99-M WS running BIOS version 0502.

Here is a list of things I have tried:
• updating BIOS, chipset, drivers, firmware
• reseating the device
• changing SATA storage devices to different ports
• changing GPU from PCIe16_1 to PCIe16_2
• removing all SATA storage devices, disabling CSM launch, changing to other OS software, clearing secure boot keys, and rebooting to install windows
• tweaking and changing all BIOS settings, reverting to optimized BIOS settings

The only things that I have not yet attempted are to try a different NVMe in my motherboard nor trying my NVMe in another motherboard. I am hoping I will be able to try both of these tonight to determine if either the NVMe or M.2 connector are dead. If anyone has any questions, comments or ideas, please feel free to leave a reply.
