Obama has gone blind.

I really do get a kick out of you guys (you know who I am talking about). Most of the arguments about borders and military operations could be made about President "Insert Last Name here" on at least one occasion.

Be well, my friends! HOOAH!!!

Two things. Wind (duh!) and that is just plain ol' mean (and not funny in the least).

Pick on the President, but the family should be off limits. Just poor form.

The Dems will run the biggest smear campaign in the history of the world 2012 Besides having a wife with a dufus hairdo and children who were likely fathered by Clinton, Obama has no record to run on!

I could see the similarities between Elvis and Ma Bell

Its the beast in me, how quaint heheh

Hmm, I wonder why Mitch Daniels isnt running, maybe because the left leaning media believes such such as leaving the family out of it?
This is all in fun, and no, no one voted for Michelle Obama, but she has had some bad policies/pushes, so shes not completely off limits

That is the wrong attitude. We either have standards or not. If the families of politicians are "fair game" then that rule must apply to all...left, right, or center. To do otherwise would be sheer hypocrisy.

To follow through with such a policy serves no purpose and only adds to the discourse and the overall negative tone of our politics today.

Last, the unfair bashing of family is not only a left wing issue, but is just as prevalent on the right as well. IMHO, all sides are simply wrong.

Making fun of and bashing are 2 different things
The only thing that truly deserves bashing on her is her stance on force feeding children what she believes is the right thing to do in our schools vs her going out and eating ribs etc
Not setting a good precedence isnt a good thing, but mandating what people eat isnt either
My point is/was/will be, its not a fair game, where you have the media in obvious concordance with the Obamas vs anyone different

Depending on one's particular political viewpoint (whether left or right), the "other side" is always wrong. Is that what you are saying? Because that seems to be the tone of our politics these days.

Seems neither side has it in them to say "the other guy/side might be right on this one".

Have you listened to the First Lady's goals and objectives for our youth eating better, or are you parroting the right wing rhetoric? BTW, have you taken a look at the obesity statistics of our Nation's youth (and adults for that matter)? Seems Mrs. O has it right that we should and can do better. Just sayin'.

What you seem to be saying is that we (as is our American right to do pretty much anything we want) can feed our kids anything that we want to at home or at school (where we do have nutritional standards) regardless of the consequences? Follow that thought to the point where we have no young men and women able to serve our Nation's military forces because they are too fat. Also, think of the burden this puts on our healthcare system. There are consequences to our actions, and as a Nation we should think about to improve ourselves. If the First Lady helps the President in that regard, then she has my support.

Same holds true for her support of military families.

The moral of the story is bias is as bias does (left or right) and "fun" often gets out of control. It is always funny until someone loses an eye......

Im too old to "parrot" anything.
I guess I see the responsibilities of the parents being crutched when thats not the right direction we should be going
I guess I see the rights of Americans being made for them, for the sake of "fairness"

I dont know your age, but these things werent needed when I was a child and a parent with young children

Im also not giving up on things that need fixing, but Im no fool either to hope/wish or believe government would/should or could make the differences best done by those closest to the problem

I guess I see trillions of dollars given to those in need, only to see those needs grow, and it would seem were on a slippery slope, and its been my experience that governement brings only more water, making the footing just that much more unfirm

If I choose to agree with government in these things, such as what to eat, what to say, what sciences to believe etc, then Id be even a higher critic than I am now, and what I dont see is that those that do believe governements positions as Ive described, the quietist of us all
So, read my sig, and enjoy life

Me. I am 47. Serving in the military. 26 years and counting. I think and I vote. Seems we are similar in that regard.

I agree that when I was a kid, growing up on the middle of nowhere WV on a farm nonetheless, we were dirt poor. But we ate right at home and at school. We were healthy and we learned to have the work ethic that I live by today. We didn't need anyone to help us figure that out.

I also agree that helping those in need should have limits but that sometimes the help offered should have some constraints.

In our society where we don't hold people responsible for their actions, someone has to make the rules or we will have chaos. So I am for government doing what it can to help us be better, within limits.

I see your points, to a point, I really do. I just think the tone of our (as in the royal we definition of us Americans) political discussions should set the example for the rest of the world to emulate, not make fun of and ridicule. We should be fair, firm, and unyielding in the pursuit of our freedom's and right's, but we don't have to be jerks doing it. Pointing fingers and calling names, I am being somewhat sarcastic here, makes us look like spoiled children.

Peace, my brother. May the force be with you and yours!

To think the liberal media considers the current republican canditates familys 'off limits' is absurd. 2012 will see Obama's liberal media driven machine conduct the dirtiest slur campaign imaginable. Obama sure can't run on his record regarding the economy, jobs, Mediscare, pump price, food price or his administration's rubbish elitist foreign policy agenda. Chris Christie hasn't announced his intention to run. Obama's camp is busy in case He decides He will.

On the subject of how Sarah Palin's family was slurred by the liberal media and Democrats in 2008, but it wasn't right? Mentioning Nancy Pelosi's two illegitimate sons as a result of Harry Reid's idea of having nonconsentual sex her with after her father had firsties is a point I want to make

I concur. You mean CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, etc. are leaning left? No!? I haven't watched CNN since 2004 or MSNBC since 2006. You mean these douche bags news organizations still lean left ater SEVEN years? C'mon..not possible. :sol:

Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels' wife intervened Sunday and vetoed his presidential run because she reportedly didn't want their personal life in the news. It's the usual story. Apparently they'd once had trouble in their marriage and one of them was dating the maid.
