Just for the record: I was unable to achieve anything much over 2.15 GHZ until I disabled Spread Spectrum thingys in BIOS.
Then it was a simple matter of lowering mem divider (from 667 to 533) and HT link to 800, left multiplier at 10x and raised Bus to 240.
I tried going even higher but anything over 245 failed to post. Temp. at full load is around 55 degrees on stock cooler, ran Prime95 for 6.5 hours, no errors.
I even set memory timings from default 5-6-5-15-21 to 4-5-5-13-19 and it's stable...I'll try lower today (ran Memtest for only 20 mins, I had to go to sleep).
MY 8800GTS is forever grateful, I went from 6600 to 7400 in 3DMark 06!
(main reason why I went OC-ing anyway, my CPU just wasn't srong enough to push that GPU).
I'm installing Arctic Xoller Pro now, then I'll try to reach 2.5 GHz somehow...
Just sharing info.

Thats sweet dude, im kind of worried about your cpu though... 55C at idle.. Then u overclock it 400mhz on stock cooler that thing has to be pushin 65C.

Ohh my bad.

Just keep in mind dont up the voltage to much, same goes for HT multiplyer dont lower that too much cause if you do bolth and you up the FSB to much and ur stupid like i was your gona kill your cpu.

What i did is ran my 3500+
Upped voltage
ratiod memory
Lowered HT multiplyer
and fryed my 3500+ going from 2.75ghz to 2.8ghz

It wasnt cool i was without my pc for a week.. but it was nice had a excuse to buy a 4000+ lol.

I had to raise voltage at 1.4V...I hear everything under 1.45 is safe.
My ht link is currently at around 940, I took just one step backwards from 1000 to 800. Even with extra voltage (1.45) I didn't manage to go to 2.5 wich would be perfect, bringing my HT link around 1000 and memory around 333 (now its 300 but I lowered timings).
