With the advent of aerial support of currently militarized police force, there is no justification for high speed road chases anymore.

Yeah because shooting 50 cal round in the city is great idea. That round punches through walls and will destroy any person it hits.

First off my condolences to Andrew and his family and friends.

But with all the ignorant BS I've ever seen, lets just all blame law enforcement cause its all there fault. The simple solution is to stop high speed chases and use alternate methods (please enlighten us razor512 since your well educated on police tactics) . Lets pass legislation to put an army of drones in the air, multitudes of cameras around the cities and instate a squad of helicopters to chase criminals trying to flee from police all while keeping taxes from sky rocketing. Lets watch more movies to learn more alternate methods of keeping peace and order. Like getting a sniper to shoot a car weaving through LA streets at an excess of 60 mph aiming at the engine block. Let's learn from other countries where they don't chase criminals, letting them get away, only to maybe kill someone else later.

Unfortunately the real world doesn't work that way. The police do not have the governments' budget at their disposal and they're more trained at high speed chases than an indy car driver. Also, most cities only have 1 helicopter and sometimes have to employ other units from neighboring areas. Give them a break, it's not like crimes take place one at a time.

It was the criminals that killed the young man, not the police so why aren't you all blaming them. Oh that's right! Its because the police decided to chase people that were breaking the law. Evading police is still a crime right? It's not the would be criminals fault for trying to run from the police, carelessly ran red lights, then probably aimed for the guy on purpose.
