NCIS (Canadian retailer) has them ranging from CAD $461 for the 100GB model up to CAD $3,330 for the 960GB drive. Quite an investment.

As toofly mentioned, do they support TRIM? Since most SSD's that I know of do not support TRIM in any form of raid, sounds like another expensive item that loses performance over 3 months before having to be rebuilt.

If it doesn't support TRIM it's impressive performance numbers will only last for so long. OCZ's previous Sata interfaced SSD's did not support TRIM, and considering this isn't mentioned in this article I can only assume it isn't supported on this one.

Sorry, it's a decent idea, (except that most 4x PCIe interfaces are situated where a large GPU resides), but without TRIM it's pretty much useless.

At this rate, I hope my computer holds out until 2012. Maybe by then, prices for 1TB SSD drives will be somewhat affordable...if we're lucky, but I'm not holding my breath on that.

NewEgg doesn't currently carry these, buy Costcentral.com is selling the 100gb version for $464.04

Buy.com is selling the 360gb version for 1112.94.

You'd be amazed what information you could find out yourself if you learned how to do a simple search...

also if you have an intel chipset mobo you can pass trim commands directly through the south bridge and in theory it will work with the raid on these.

You can stick a 4x device in a full size 16x slot.

These are cool but as other posters have already figured out too expensive for average joe and my not even support Trim, but used as a boot disk(see below) wouldnt matter as much.

I cant help not to think that these would be GREAT! if they were made just to hold your OS and a few Apps to keep costs down but still offer major performance. It would be a sweet boot disk with those kind of speeds. Why isnt anyone making a product like that? Im sure the would be a big market for it, I would buy one in a heartbeat.
