Received a warning 'PC health'. Computer rebooted and displayed mesage as follows:
"Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key"

Pressing a key does not work. Checked the BIOS, (Z77X-UD3H Motherboard), but SSD drive was no longer listed. The majority of my data is on a secondary hard-drive but I have lost some important data on the SSD and I can't boot the PC.

I unplugged the SSD and removed the battery thus resetting the CMOS setting. I left it overnight and tried again in the morning with no success. I tried a different SATA cable no joy.

I took it to the PC repair shop and their BIOS didn't recognise it either.

I found a comment that recommends cooking the SSD. I am that desperate that I am considering cooking it.

Any other ideas before the cookoff?

1. Only connect the SATA power connection and not the data cable. A USB enclosure with an external power source will also work.
2. Once you have the drive connected, simply power on the computer and wait. The computer will need to stay powered on for 20 min and it is recommended that you don't use the computer during this process.
3. Power the computer down and disconnect the drive for 30 seconds.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 one more time.
5. Reconnect the drive normally, and boot the computer to your operating system.
6. Update your firmware, if you are not already at the latest on your drive. Please visit the following link for our firmware updates

Will give it a shot. Would love if someone had schematics or suggest any areas to look at on the board.

Tried it in the oven for 4 hours and no joy. U18 and U19 very hot, I wonder what would happen if I replaced them? The data is probably spread across all chips and so would be lost... any ideas 29F64G08CBAAB micron is the chip.
