Question Odd Headset mic problem ?

Hello! I have what I think is a solvable issue, but I just can't work it out.
It's an odd problem, or I'm an idiot (can't rule that out)

I have a headset (rig 500 PRO) with a built in/attachable mic, That I cannot get to work on my pc.
I'm using a 4-pole splitter to the mic and audio out. Heres the thing though,
If I plug the headset into my phone, it all just works.
If I plug my normal phone buds with mic into the splitter on my pc, that works.
But the headset mic will not work when plugged into the pc (via splitter)

Through my testing, I can tell that the headset and mic works, the splitter works, but for some reason the headset and splitter combo wont work?
What is going on here?

You might want to see if another splitter changes what you're experiencing,. The fact that the headset works on your phone or a single combo mic/headphone jack means the headset is functional. The issue could be the splitter or the audio ports on your platform. Can you please parse the specs to your build like so:
