Ok, so ive had this rig for a while now and it has always been that same thing i have a GTX 770 with a FX 8350 with a 600 watt psu and i always seem to get oddly low frames in some games i wnat to blame it on my CPU and its 8 core and playing games that just do not use them :/ am i wrong ? on ultra in bf4 im lucky to stay at over 60 fps for more than 5 mins my friend has the same card as me an asus 770 and he gets much better fps on his intel cpu what is going on here im thinking my cpu is just bad or something is wrong with my gpu usage can any tech gods help me out here ?

Solution
Well to start with.
1)Most games need a single or dual fast cores rather than more slower cores.(Neglecting other factors for simplicity of this answer)
2)Not being a fan-boy or anything,Intel processors simply does it better than amd

So yes it might be the reason.Try to overclock and see if it improves performance
More CPU BOUND GAMES WILL SLOW YOU DOWN!

Solution
As Yadhu explained, the 8350 has actually very low single core performance compared to its Intel counterparts. Its not surprising to see such results. The FPS is normal, but obviously not good. You got to 60+ FPS on Ultra in BF4 as its very multi core CPU optimized game. Nothing's wrong.
