My CTRL + [random function character] - for example C for copy, S for save etc. stops working randomly on Word 2013.

I have to close all documents and start Word again in order for it to start working again.

Any help?

Edit:
I forgot to add that it stops working randomly only in Word (2013). In other programs such as a web browser it works constantly. So I think it's not a keyboard (hardware) related issue.

OS: Windows 10.
Laptop model is ASUS X509JA, I bought it like 1 month ago.

Update your post to include full hardware specs and OS information.

Make and model keyboard: age, condition?

Reinstall the keyboard drivers.

Run the built-in Windows troubleshooters. The troubleshooters may find and fix something.

Run "sfc /scannow" and "dism" via the Command Prompt. They may find and fix something.

Try another known working keyboard on your computer.

Go into Word 2013 and take a look at the current settings:

https://www.groovypost.com/howto/customize-office-2013-keyboard-shortcuts/

You can easily find other similar links but use them only to explore or otherwise discover the current configuration.

Avoid any software, utilities, registry edits, and so forth.

When the keys appear to not be working they could actually be doing something else that does not directly impact the current document.

There is a Reset button. That might straighten things out.

There are add-ins to Office that cause these issues. Check for any of those, macros that start up with the program, add-ins, plug-ins, etc...
Here's a SS of the add-ins: https://i.snipboard.io/aJNOt9.jpg

I only have English Proofing Tools installed, no other macro or plug-in.

Also, note that I downloaded the program from a private torrent tracker (it's cracked). Could it be that it was somehow modified and the version is bugged (anyhow, can closed-source programs - like Office - be modified)?
Should I try another install?

Other than that I had Avast installed (I uninstalled it), also Driver Booster and (uninstalled) and MyASUS and MiniTool Partition Wizard (still have these installed).
