I found this on a website. I'm tempted to use it but I haven't made up my mind. I really don't want to pay up $80 to damn microsoft. I have the cd setting right next to me, so tempting to use this info. Here it is:
(List of cd keys)
Some say that you should not be connected to the internet when installing.
I don't know about this. But unplug your network cable just to be sure.
AFTER INSTALLATION of WinXP First thing to do is to boot into SAFE MODE.
(press F8 during boot at the dos screen)
If you try to get into windows now, you will get a error at the login..
And windows will NOT start.
When you are in safe mode, run regedit, and change the following:.
Go to this key in Regedit:
“HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\"
right click on Activation Required
And change the value to 0 (its 1 default)
Login Error Fix / Activation Fix (There have been 111| Downloads of this file)
You can now login as normal
Restart Windows XP
And you are Done.
Not sure if it works. Has anyone tried this? Also another question is whats the differnce between the oem version and full version?Thx.
