Interesting, I really think Intel screwed up with loosing them emails 😉

Intel "lost" those emails about as much as the republicans "lost" their emails.

Who would think that billion dollar companies would use the-dog-ate-my-homework like excuses

It is only illegal to delete emails after being notified of a Governmental investigation. They might have "accidentally" deleted them after hearing rumors of a possible filing from AMD hehe.

Nope. Google Sarbanes Oxley.

Yes, what about it. If you are destroying files in accordance with corporate policy and they are older than 7 years, then yes you can delete them.

This applies to audit work papers...

Does anyone have the link or other information for catching the earnings report this afternoon?

"(c) Whoever corruptly-

'(1) alters, destroys, mutilates, or conceals a record, document, or other object, or attempts to do so, with the intent to impair the object's integrity or availability for use in an official proceeding; or

'(2) otherwise obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding, or attempts to do so, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.'.'

Meaning, you have to have intent.

Addendum: Morningstar cut their Fair value evaluation of AMD from $25 to 13 and rates it as a Sell at 15.70 and buy at 8.6, hmmm.

Revenue down 33%.

What will Q2s results look like! 8O

$611 Million dollar loss.

And gross margin fell to 28.1%.

Holy crap, Ruiz is driving the company into the ground trying to "win market share" when they don't have any dominant products or technology.

And they lost market share.

And they are cutting capital spending by $500 Million, so less R&D.

"First quarter 2007 gross margin was 31 percent, excluding stock-based compensation expense and acquisition-related charges, compared to 40 percent in the fourth quarter of 2006 and 59 percent in the first quarter of 2006. The decrease from the prior quarter was largely due to significantly lower microprocessor unit shipments, lower microprocessor average selling prices (ASPs), and the inclusion of the former ATI operations, which generally have lower-margin products, for the entire quarter."

"Year-over-year server and desktop processor unit shipments and revenues declined significantly, while mobile processor unit shipments and revenue increased significantly."

...Ouch indeed;

"“After more than three years of successfully executing our customer expansion strategy and significantly growing our unit and revenue base, our first quarter performance is disappointing and unacceptable,” said Robert J. Rivet, AMD’s chief financial officer."

Elmo... a Qx6700 at 4.23GHz? WTF are using cool it? lol.

5 Quarters down, 7 to go.

Lol... I don't run it at that clock 24/7. That was my project for my thread on Xtremesystems.

It can run at that speed 24/7 but something tells me the voltage would kill it.

It's Thermo-Electrically cooled. Basically Watercooling and Peltier's. I'm also using a Meanwell dedicated power supply to power the Pelt's.

That is what I was thinking, 437w TEC or 226w? My guess is 437. What vcore, 1.55?
