edit: DAMNIT... those are not free shipping any more... they cost $33...

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
i really like the coolmaster case cause it looks badass...

The case and PSU are both good. 790GX has features, features that you may need xfire, extra PCI, features you may not (ACC - feature that could potentially unlock the 4th core on your 720BE chances are very low though), features you won't use better onboard video.

You shouldn't have a problem getting the case locally fot the same price.

do i really need xfire?

some ppl were sayin that

ASUS M4A78-E AM2+/AM3 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

give him BSOD or freezes n stuff

and the 780 some ppl were sayin

Cons: Couldn't set Sata to AHCI mode to install XP Pro 32 bit. Got a BSOD when starting OS install and then hung at "verifying dmi pool data". Had to set it on Native IDE mode.

Cons: I am an amateur but i build few system 4 myself and friends..this mobo couldn't move the mouse and keyboard to install windows...went in bios and enable(should be enable by default) then try install it say cannot detect hdd ...back to bios enable the sata mode..for an amateur could be a pain in the you know...

Cons: Only 1 controller for all of the SATA ports. Well, 2; 1 for ports 0-2, and 1 for ports 3-4 ("Native IDE" or "Same as drives 0-2").

The default controller is "Native IDE." If you're doing an upgrade, Windows won't boot from AHCI or RAID. To switch to AHCI or RAID, you must reinstall Windows.

You will need an old keyboard and mouse with the color-coded PS2 connections, even if you enable USB keyboard and mouse in the BIOS, if you're loading the controller driver from the motherboard CD. Windows recognizes the USB keyboard and mouse, but the provided AHCI/RAID drivers don't!

The manual sucks, which was surprising. This is my 3rd Gigabyte board, and the other two had thorough manuals.

Their tech. support sucks. I called twice, and both knew their stuff, but they were rude. The first sounded bored. I told him how I was disappointed in the manual, and he said he'd notify in customer feedback and hung up on me. The other got exasperated with me.

It came with no motherboar

etc..

i am willin to put cash down for a GOOD mobo thats well designed and wont give me trouble, cause otherwise i donno how to fix it -_-

If you look at my motherboard review there always going to be people with issues when they get. If the mother board has 50 or more reviews and 80% of those reviews are above 4 eggs I would consider it a safe thing. If you still unsure look at the reivews and see what they are bitching about and ask your self if this a trend thats different from other motherboards or will this affect me. If they will choose another board, at that point comes down to being comfortable with what you order and being an informed buyer.

Gigabyte and Asus are supposed to have the best tech support of the motherboard manufactures though, with that said my experience is that each persons mileage will vary and so will their experiences.

I personally bought the XFX 8200 board, Gigabyte 780G mATX and the Asus 780v mATX. (Asus and Gigabyte are coming tommorow).
