I've been messing with IntelBurnTest to OC my CPU at a comfortable level; not looking to break records. When I run IBT on my i5 3570k at 4.3 the temperature and cpu info tracking software I'm using while testing to keep an eye on everything, they started to freeze up. Temperatures would stop moving for a bit and if I tried to move it it'll give the loading symbol and then the "Not responding" notice shows on the header when a program freezes up. If I leave it for a bit it'll start up again but repeat. They also tend to disappear and reappear on my screen randomly.
I would say it means too much OC but the flame on IBT that shows you if your PC froze keeps moving. It might stutter once or twice but it keeps moving. Only other thing is when I hit Stop it does the same freeze and unresponsive thing the other apps do. Does this mean my CPU is at it's limit or can it do this and as long as the flame is still going, even with stutter, is it still ok? I don't let it go far. Once I see the temperature and info apps disappear or freeze up I stop it immediately and restart the PC since it tends to be faster.
