Question Old Display

Hi guys i have old samsung display 60hz 1920x1080 with only 1 vga port. Im planning to upgrade my pc and later on when i earn some more money upgrade my monitor too but i will have to play on the old one for 5-6 months.
Will i get screen tearing because of the hz:? Planning to get MSI rtx 2070 gaming z. Can i use VGA to HDMI adapter and run it :?

If you get a good quality active adapter, it should be OK. But not guaranteed. Going from digital output to analog with the vast majority of active adapters on the market can be problematic. Be sure to get a good one and buy from a retailer that will allow returns/replacements.
