Old hard drive now an external drive

My PC died but the hard drive is still good. I had folders on the desktop for easy access, but I can't find them now that the old hard drive is no longer running the OS. How do I find those former desktop folders?

<drive>:\Users\<username>\Desktop should be the location.

If your (now external) drive letter is E: then it would be something like E:\Users\Jonsky\Desktop
