Hello,
I am going to try to use these parts in my ten year old Tower,( if possible ) ( These parts i have were from another PC that was updated and are now mine to use :) )

What power supply would operate these?
EVGA GeForce GTX 960 02G-P4-2966-KR 2GB SSC GAMING w/ACX 2.0+
, Whisper Silent Cooling Graphics Card.

MB- 990FXA-UD3 Gigabyte

AMD FX 8-core

two sata hard drives 500 Gb and 1Tb also a cd drive

will they fit in a mid size 10 year old tower too?

thank you so much

Thank you

Solution
Depends on the tower? 10 years ago, there was even more variance in MB form-factors etc than there is now!

Which "8 core FX"? Do you know? That board should be ok, even including the 125W parts..... just not the 200+W 9590, 9570 etc.

As for the PSU, where are you located? A quality 500W or greater unit will be more than sufficient - but regional availability will dictate what makes the most sense.

The TX550, TX650, CX550, CX650 (or 50"M") from Corsair would all be solid, affordable offerings in most countries.

The S12II 520W or 620W from SeaSonic, while older platforms, can be found pretty cheap these days - and have pretty good availability...
