Hello,

So today I found an ancient game from 2000 and I tried to run it on win 10 to see if it would work. And it does nothing. I know that obviously it's so outdated, but is there anyway I could run this game? Thanks for any info.

Kind regards,

Elliott

For this one I think I'll refer you to reading and a google search to www.rockraidersunited.com for win 10 and this game. Various threads in their forums discuss the various ways (depending on the version DRM, since safedisc isn't supported under Win10)) to get it to run under win 10, both in a VM, and otherwise.

What's a virtual machine? How do you get one/set it up? Is it expensive?

A virtual machine is a emulated "machine" you run as an instance from within windows. You will need your windows install media that you wish to install (95, 98, XP ?) to the VM to create it, and your license key to activate it. Your hardware must meet the requirements as well for virtualization.

There are many guides available on the web for how to create a VM.

But I don't have the 95 product key and the install media! Where can I buy it, is it possible to buy it?

E-Bay is helpful for that if you can access it where you live.

Ok, what is dosbox? What's DOS?

Rather than going around and around, perhaps it would be easier for you to post the name of the game you wish to get running. That might be easier to provide a working suggestion instead of covering many different things which may or may not apply to your situation.

It's an old lego game called Lego Rock Raiders.
