Hello.Hoping for some help. Wanting to build a computer using the gtx 480 fermi. I know this cards old,but it's never been unboxed.Wanting to build a computer with this card for a friends son who's 8 yrs old.Other hardware i'll be using is a i7970 processor, Intel's extreme series gaming motherboard Dx58so,plextor cd rom drive and 2 mechanical hard drives. One being a wd black and the other ia a barracuda. Both are 1TB. To power this system I am wanting to use the Corsair 650 TX.Will this power supply be powerful enough to run everything comfortably? Also memory will be 12 gigs xms3 .4gigs a stick.

No worries.I use only the TX and gold and platinum psus from Corsair.I never go less than 850 watts.Highest I've gone is 1000 watts HX by Corsair.I prefer everything in my systems to run comfortably. Just this 650 TX I've never opened and hoped it could be used for this 480. Happy it can :)
