I have a HP Elitebook 8440 - the biggest issue is the GPU which is terrible integrated graphics. I have installed 4 gig of RAM and an SSD - it runs fine, but anything graphics drags it down. Any suggestions about an inexpensive external GPU to help? I have the cards I can use, but not the case. Waste of time?

What specific hardware does your laptop have? There are different models of the 8440.
Based on the ones Im looking at, the processor would be nowhere near capable enough to support a graphics card worth using.

Yeah and I am noticing that this is not an inexpensive project either. I was hoping for a attachment cable for the GPU, but it doesn't look like it is that easy or cheap.
