You should be able to run the ram just fine, but you will have to either manually set the speed and timings or use the MSI Memory Try It! feature. Set the ram to 2933-3200MT/s with either 14-14-14, 16-16-16 or 16-18-18 timings when using the 1600 AF. CL14 at 3200MT/s is usually best used with Samsung B die or Hynix A or C die modules. Also, I think I might upgrade to a Ryzen 5 3600X sometime soon. Should I get like a 3600MHz in preparation for that?
Sounds good. The only real advantage the MSI boards have is slightly better overclocking ability, but mostly on the higher end boards ($150-200 range.)
What do you know you actually need and what do you think you want or need?
If you are on a tight budget, and still want to use your current mATX case, just get the Asrock B450M Pro 4. It's one of best mATX boards available and has a USB-C port in the rear. I seriously doubt you will be missing much of anything if it's just for gaming and school work.
Okay, sorry to keep bothering you but you seem like you know what you are talking about. So, upon further inspection there are a lot of different boards with the title "Asrock B450M Pro 4". If it's not a bother, could you send me a link to the one you are thinking about? Also a bunch are now sold outThe only real advantage the MSI boards have is slightly better overclocking ability, but mostly on the higher end boards ($150-200 range.)

Unfortunately the Asrock B450M Pro 4 sold out today in most places. There were still some in stock when I first posted that list. You can still get the Asrock B450M Steel Legend for $90 here https://www.newegg.com/asrock-b450m-steel-legend/p/N82E16813157868. That is only $10 more than the Pro 4, which was usually around $75.Okay, sorry to keep bothering you but you seem like you know what you are talking about. It's debatable whether it's actually better, but honestly just consider it a slightly better board with RGB lighting on part of it.And that's just as good?
Alright! I am about to order! Any last comments? It's debatable whether it's actually better, but honestly just consider it a slightly better board with RGB lighting on part of it.
Yes, consider buying a new PSU as well. Your current one, although it still works, is old and was never good quality to begin with. If you can find one for around $60-100, get a Corsair CX550, CX650 or the modular version of either, so you can install a GPU that uses up to two 6 or 8 pin PCIe cables. I'd suggest another brand or model of PSU in the 550-750watt range, but I haven't been keeping up with recent pricing and reviews on good models.Alright! I am about to order! Any last comments?
Alright. Thank you so much for your help these past couple of days. I am afraid my budget does not allow for a new PSU right now, but thanks for the heads up and actually consistently responding to my thread! If you can't find anything, newegg still had the CX450 in stock for $56 on sale last I looked. It will only handle a GPU with 6 or 8pin power requirements, but with the parts you are buying you could run a GTX 1650 Super without issue. You will need a 550-650watt to run an RX 580/590 for similar GPU performance to the GTX 1650 Super.
