For gaming am I alright using my onboard realtek fast ether connection or would I be better off with a USB adapter? What I mean is does using the onboard eat up cpu cycles that would detract from the playability of the game or does it make no difference in that respect?

the onboard nic is 100x better than using a usb nic. this has been discused before. all pci/onboard nics are very close in performance. but a usb nic is limited by the bandwidth of the usb controler.

my computer is so fast, it completes an endless loop in less than 4 seconds!
