I am going to be buying 2 new IBM 75GXP hdd next month and wanted some advice as to if i should buy a promise RAID controller or stick with the HPT 370 controller on my ABit BE6-2 RAID.
I have a Pentium 3 1GHZ and 256MB CAS2 SDRAM.
Thanks in advance.

That's a good point. If they were made from vegetables, then the protesters would be meat-eaters.

If you wanna shell out the cabbage, then id strongly urge the promise SuperTrak 100. Im actually in the process of buying 2-45gig 75GXPs myself, and looks like im going to get the SuperTrak as well.
Why..? Because it has a RISC CPU on board, plus comes with 16 megs of RAM (EDO DIMM), UGable to 164. THe big benefit of all this is that itll reduce your CPU usage to approximately what a SCSI uses, which is little or no CPU. It runs about $323-399 depending on where you look. Try calling Promise direct, thats where ive heard the best price yet.
