Question Ongoing issue with USB ports ?

Hi there,
I've had an ongoing issue with my usb ports for what must be 2 years now, and i've just kind of dealt with it but i'm curious as to whether theres a fix or not. So for a long while i've had this situation where my USB ports will sometimes randomly cut off, it could be one of them, could be both, sometimes ( though rarely ) its all of them, only ever happens for a few seconds, everything comes back and works fine. I've had no way to replicate the issue, i've gone months with it not happening, then sometimes it happens every day for a few days, i've replaced usb hubs, tried direct into the back of the pc, turned off all sorts of power saving and suspend settings, but nothings completely stopped it. Its less of an urgent issue and more of an annoyance when i'm mid game and my controller drops for a moment or two, or calling with friends and my mic cuts off for a second, anyone know the route cause?

Did you update BIOS ? There was an issue with USB ports with early BIOS version.

I most recently updated it about a year ago roughly, i remember having the issue before i originally updated and its sort of followed since, its confusing cause i can go weeks upon weeks with zero issue, then it just happens suddenly, then back to normal

So i think i've jinxed myself by saying it didn't happen often because it seems to be happening with more and more frequency now. I was playing final fantasy XIV and kept getting these weird 1fps stutters coinciding with every usb hub turning off and resetting themselves, it doesn't matter if its plugged into the back of my pc, the ports at the front, or via a hub, i looked in event viewer but i'm very new to stuff like that so i had no clue what i was looking for, i had a couple of errors around the time it happened, one being devicesetupmanager event id 152, a bunch of disk warnings ID 51, Kernel-eventTracing event ID 28, and a few BTHUSB event ID 17. Very much been a constant head-scratcher
