Here is the information:
Internet Provider: Optimum
System: PC
Connection: Wi-Fi
Network Card: Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz
Speed Test Results: Using Optimum's Wi-Fi Speed test site: Download 261Mbps
Trouble Shooting Steps Performed
Step 1: I first wanted to make sure that I had the latest network drivers in my system, so when I first checked the driver version, I had the information was
Driver Date: 01-21-2024 - Version: 23.30.0.6
Step 2: Thinking that I am receiving the lower speeds due to an outdated driver, I decided to update my Intel Wi-Fi Driver
https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...fi-drivers-for-windows-10-and-windows-11.html
After the install and reboot of the computer, Verified Driver Date: 09-4-2024 - Driver Version: 23.80.1.3
When performing a speed test again still only getting download speeds of 300Mbps
The browsers not if that matters that I tested the internet speed with is (Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Opera Gx, Opera, Google Chrome) all sites giving the same speed test results
https://www.optimum.com/internet/speed-test / I have also tested using https://speedtest.net
This is when I decided to check my other devices, they all seem to be getting correct download speeds for my laptop and mobile device.
System 2: Laptop
Network Card: Intel (R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz
Driver Date: 10-18-2022
Version: 22.180.0.4
Connection Type: Wireless
Speed Test Results: Using Optimum's Wifi Speedtest site: Download 863.2Mbps
System 3: Samsung Galaxy S24
Connection: Wireless
Speed Test Results: Using Optimum's Wifi Speedtest site: Download 993.7Mbps
So I'm a bit at a loss on what the next trouble shooting steps should be or where I should look, Any help would be greatly appreciated.
*note* I am unable to test my PC using an ethernet connection as I do not as of current have a long enough Ethernet cable to test with
