Here is the information:

Internet Provider: Optimum
System: PC
Connection: Wi-Fi
Network Card: Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz
Speed Test Results: Using Optimum's Wi-Fi Speed test site: Download 261Mbps

Trouble Shooting Steps Performed
Step 1: I first wanted to make sure that I had the latest network drivers in my system, so when I first checked the driver version, I had the information was
Driver Date: 01-21-2024 - Version: 23.30.0.6
Step 2: Thinking that I am receiving the lower speeds due to an outdated driver, I decided to update my Intel Wi-Fi Driver
https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...fi-drivers-for-windows-10-and-windows-11.html
After the install and reboot of the computer, Verified Driver Date: 09-4-2024 - Driver Version: 23.80.1.3
When performing a speed test again still only getting download speeds of 300Mbps
The browsers not if that matters that I tested the internet speed with is (Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Opera Gx, Opera, Google Chrome) all sites giving the same speed test results
https://www.optimum.com/internet/speed-test / I have also tested using https://speedtest.net

This is when I decided to check my other devices, they all seem to be getting correct download speeds for my laptop and mobile device.

System 2: Laptop
Network Card: Intel (R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz
Driver Date: 10-18-2022
Version: 22.180.0.4
Connection Type: Wireless
Speed Test Results: Using Optimum's Wifi Speedtest site: Download 863.2Mbps

System 3: Samsung Galaxy S24
Connection: Wireless
Speed Test Results: Using Optimum's Wifi Speedtest site: Download 993.7Mbps

So I'm a bit at a loss on what the next trouble shooting steps should be or where I should look, Any help would be greatly appreciated.

*note* I am unable to test my PC using an ethernet connection as I do not as of current have a long enough Ethernet cable to test with

Gigabit connections via Wifi can be finicky. You either get that high-end speed or it'll crash on you like a dumpster on a highway. Not saying take my advice but TRY to get a long enough ethernet cable as it will benefit from these troubleshoots.................................

On the router change the lease time to the maximum time allowed - or at least a week.

Current lease time is only ~ 90 minutes - technically should not make a difference but no harm is eliminating the possibility. Pay attention to the time units.

Disabling IPv6 may make a difference,

Change the DNS Servers to Google at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

I am unsure where microsoft hides this information, they really like to move it around.

Someplace there should be a status page for the wifi. Most times this has a upload and download speed. This though does not really represent the speed it more represent the data encoding. Since you laptop seems the same compare these and see if they are different.

Although not likely this simple if one machine was using the 2.4g radio and the other 5g it would run at very different speeds. It has become common for router makers to use the same SSID for both radios and hope the pc picks the better one but sometimes the machines are not very smart.
