Only have $260 bucks to spend. 2 GTX 465 or 1 6950

I have a set up for SLI so question is what should I get 2 GTX 465 or 1 6950.

BTW, nice benchmark... pretty much on par, except for Crysis 1/Warhead.

It probably depends on your luck then, i had an 465 with enough power from the psu, temps were doing about 77 and still i had a lot of problems and it died on me after just over one year so . . .

That sucks, probably not too common though or they would be pulling them all off the shelves as to not have to deal with all the warranty returns. You can find horror stories with any model card, everyone was bitching about the 570s and 580s burning up when they came out, but a few defective cards is not always indicative of the entire product line.

and FYI.
the GTX 465 was and is second rate piece crap from nVidia.
I'm glad 'robjordy' is happy with his but unless you paid LESS for them than a pair of GTX 460's it's a bad move.
the exception to the rule is the GTX 465 that ROM flashes to the GTX 470,
then that would be a winner..
but that's not a 100% guarantee of it flashing..

The 465s with 10 chips that can flash to a fully functional 470 are all gone from retail stores. The GTX 465 is a 480 with about 1/3rd of the shaders crippled, as opposed to only 10% being crippled with the 470, so it's definatly second rate, but for $130 bucks you won't find anything faster.

For clarification I'm the one that is happy with his 465s, but I still wouldn't recommend them.

No problem, it's only that i really hate ( kill it, kill it ! ) that card so i wouldn't anyone like to think i like it, that's all. ( it was fast though, but i think because of all the frustration, it did cost me one or two years from my life )
And, probably because i'm Dutch, i know the good greenfields yeah, they're lovely, aint they.
I live in Oost-Souburg, a small town near Vlissingen ( Flushing ), far, far away from Amsterdam ( nothing in Holland is really far away but still.)
Bet you had a nice time with the Dutchies in A'dam then.
