I have an MSI z270A gaming pro carbon motherboard, and ever since I installed it, only the one USB 3.1 type- A port works. All the other USB ports are receiving power but the device plugged into it pops up as "USB device unrecognized." Even the 2 USB ports on the front of my Corsiar Carbide case are having the same issue.

I have triple checked all the chip-set and other drivers for the motherboard, all the cables and pins, and even called msi (too late for a refund). The only thing i can think of that may be causing the problem is that in device manager, there are 3 different serial bus controllers (ASmedia root hub, etc.) and I don't know why. I even replaced my hard drive and reinstalled windows and everything from scratch and they all three still show up there.

right now I have resorted to plugging in a 1 to 4 USB hub into the one working port to suffice for my basic devices, but now I'm expanding and the issue is resurfacing.

feel free to ask any questions about what I said, it's a confusing situation. PLEASE HELP!
