As the title says, on my PC only, YouTube web-pages (not videos themselves) load extremely slowly. Each time I navigate to a different youtube page, it will take upwards of 2 minutes to load the page, but then there are zero problems with the loading/buffering of the video even at 1080p. I tested this on my Macbook, and there are zero issues. YouTube is the only site that is doing this. There is a solved thread suggesting to disable IPv6, which I have already done, but this did not solve the problem. Are there any other things I can try?

Thank you in advance!!

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

= = = =

Use Task Manager, Resource Monitor, and Process Explorer (Microsoft, free) to observe system performance.

Use all three tools but only one tool at a time.

First, observe while not loading any web pages.

Second, observe while loading non You Tube web-pages.

Third, observe whle loading You Tub web-pages.

Doing the above will take some time and effort - no need to rush through it all. Be methodical and keep notes.

Change only one thing at a time.

The objective being to discover what system resources are being used, to what extent ( % ), and what is using any given resource for all three observations.

Hopefully something will stand out when the You Tube web-pages become slower.

Process Explorer:

See what you can find.

Have you tried to load yt using only one web browser?

btw: if you visit portableapps.com, you will find several of the most popular web browsers for Windows. Firefox amongst many other apps.
Running those apps will (unless your system is already infected) provide a clean browser experience as it would not touch any settings from web browsers already installed on the system.

Did you solve this issue? I had exactly the same symptoms, until I updated my audio interface driver. (Surprising, but true.) Even if you don't have an audio interface, but it might be worth making sure your graphics and audio drivers are 100% up to date.

I had this problem a few years ago. 1 computer on my home network had really slow youtube for some reason. Videos would take an extra 10-20 seconds or so to start loading, it was very annoying. I tried different web browsers, mtu settings and disabling ipv6. This computer was on ethernet too, so I tried a wifi dongle and that still didn't work.

Then I tried TCP Optimizer and set everything back to windows default. Then to optimal and that fixed my problem! Apparently a program must have changed some internet settings and defaulting them fixed the issue. https://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php

Please don't thread hijack.

Set your RAM to not use XMP and Turn off CPU boost for intel. Run it for a while to see if it's stable.

Turn on CPU boost, then run it for a while to see if it's stable. If it's not, get it warrantied from Intel. They have a 3 year warranty. If they overbinned it, they'll swap you out.

If it's stable, then turn on XMP and run it for a while to see if it's stable. If it's not, try lower speed ram.
