has anyone here had any dealing with onstream and their backup products? I just installed a new adr2 120gb scsi tape drive from them. It came with 6 blank tapes.

2 of the blank tapes appear to be bad.

I tried calling their 888 tech support # and have gotten nothing but busy signals all day long. I tried calling their 877 sales number, and all i get is a voicemail box, but i cant even leave a message because the mailbox is full. Even when i hit the operator button i get the operator's voicemail box which is also full. It not too unusual for the tech support line to be busy or long waits. But when even their sales # dosent have anyone answering, that makes me worry.

Oh i also tried their online tech support form ... rather, i tred to get to their online tech support form. Every time i clicked the link for it it just brought me back to their home page. And there is no tech support email, only a sales email.

Between a 33% failure rate on their tapes and being unable to contact a human being, i have not had a good first impression of onstream. Anyone else had any dealings with them or their products?
 
I may be mistaken, but I could swear I heard Onstream is toast. The response... or rather lack thereof... that you've been getting would seem to indicate that this may be the case. I'm not sure where you would find out for sure; but be prepared for the possibilty at least.
